RETROFIT CHANNEL

L Connector has male and female connectors and is used for interconnection of a right angle of 90°. Polarity is not a factor.

Y connnector has one male and two
female connectors and can be used to
easily customize your design layout.

X connnector has one male and three
female connectors and can be used to
easily customize your design layout.

Includes 1 cut end cap (0.5L x 0.31W x0.19H) and 1 male end cap (0.5L x 0.5W x0.19H). End caps should be used to terminate every run to protect against dust ingress. See installation instructions for details.

Mounting clips are recommended for installing 24V InvisiLED on porous or uneven surfaces that are difficult to permanently adhere the sections solely using its self adhesive backing. 2 mounting clips per foot are recommended for straight runs. More may be necessary for curves or where 2 inch sections are used.

Retrofit channels are used to construct a miniature cove or light baffle in which 24V InvisiLED may be concealed. The channel has a 3/32 in. slot every 1 inch and can be curved at a radius of 5.5 in. or greater. 1/2 in. screws are provided.

Palette GUIDELINES

LAYING OUT THE INVISILED™ DESIGN

Determine the necessary quantities of 5 foot, 1 foot and 2 inch sections that are needed (2 inch sections only available with CLASSIC system). Determine the number of separately powered runs needed. How many power supplies are needed?
CLASSIC 12V- Requires a minimum run length of 1 foot and is limited to a maximum run of 25 feet per 60W Class 2 power supply. May experience some visible loss of intensity between 15 feet and 25 feet due to voltage drop.
CLASSIC 24V- Offers a 100w power supply, allowing for a minimum run of 1 foot and a maximum run of 40 foot.
PA LETT E and AURA - Require a minimum run length of 1 foot and are limited to a maximum run of 40 feet per 60W Class 2 power supply.

POWER

Easy to install by simply powering the power supply and connecting the male and female sections and connectors creating
straight lines, any angled turns, or lengthwise curves. Use end caps to seal the end of each run. Female and male end caps are
available. Terminate each cut segment with a cut end cap. Terminate the uncut end of the section with a male end cap.

MOUNTING

Behind each section is a 3M™ construction adhesive. Peel back the covering and press firmly onto smooth surfaces.
If a 1 inch by 1inch or greater cove is not built-in, a Retrofit Channel may be necessary to conceal the strip or to provide an
extended surface for mounting or redirecting the light. Mounting clips and screws are available to reinforce secure mounting to
porous surfaces. Sections snap into mounting clips without the use of the adhesive thus permitting sections to be easily changed.

JOINING SECTIONS

Choose the needed connectors to achieve your desired effect. Joiner cables can also be used for carrying power between sections of a run and creating connections at any angle. To avoid cutting in the middle of a run see the following information:
CLASSIC 12V- Field cuttable every 1 inch. CLASSIC 24V- Field cuttable every 2 inches. PALETT E & AURA - Field cuttable every 6 inches. (See indicated markings on the adhesive side). CAUTION: Cut sections may not be rejoined to start a new section.

TIPS

• Dimming is generally recommended with Electronic Low Voltage (ELV) dimmers. Call for specific recommendations.

• INVISILED™ CLASSIC- “L“ connectors have no polarity for connection, may be used in either direction for left-hand or right-hand turns.
