WAC Lightings low voltage Duorail offers unlimited possibilities. Like our monorail it's hand bendable rail and dozens of pendants and directional lighting combinations allow for the creation of a unique system. Now the convenience of 2 Circuits on one rail allow the operation of 2 systems independently. For examples, Art Glass Pendants on the first circuit and Directional Spot Lighting on the second circuit.

DIRECTIONAL FIXTURES

HOW IT WORKS
• The smallest 2-circuit rail system available. Just ¾ inches tall and ½ inch wide, is as small as single circuit monorails
• Choosing circuits is as easy as turning the Quick Connect Adapter to face opposite side and attaching it to the rail
• Either of two circuits may be independently switched or dimmed, or used together to carry more wattage than a single
low voltage rail
• Crafted by W.A.C. artisans with precision quality brass components and solid copper conductors, DUORAIL ensures
power up to 50 Amperes (2x25A)

DUORAIL / QUICK CONNECT OVERVIEW - design considerations
TOTAL THE WATTAGE REQUIRED PER RUN
DUORAIL is a 25A rated system. At 12 volts, 300 watts is the maximum draw allowable for each circuit, 600 watts total for both. At 24 volts, 600 watts is the maximum draw allowable, 1200 watts total. (If rail run length is longer that 16 ft consult voltage drop chart for run length considerations)
SELECT A TRANSFORMER
SURFACE-MOUNT TRANSFORMER (A):
Magnetic: (high wattage capacity, heavy duty). These Transformers may be Switched Separately or Together.
REMOTE TRANSFORMER:
With remote power feeds, select 1 or 2 transformers. Certain transformers have two primary inputs for separate switching on each circuit. Locate transformer within 10 feet of junction box to avoid voltage drop. (Use 10 AWG wire minimum) for secondary side connections)
LAYING OUT THE MONORAIL DESIGN
(B) Use rope, chalk or string on floor level, or a scale drawing with string to estimate rail needs. Broad curves work best (12” min radius). When working with curves, we recommend ordering up to 25% more rail than estimated to compensate for in-field design adjustments during installation. The rail should pass under or near a junction box.
SELECTING A POWER FEED
Power feeds (M) are available with surface mount transformers. For remote transformers the single power feed includes 4 wires for 2 circuits.
MOUNTING
Determine the ceiling type. Select standoffs (C) that match the height of the power feed component. Use (3) supports minimum for an 8ft section & (2) for a 4ft section.
JOINING RAIL SECTIONS
“I” connectors (D) can be either conductive or non conductive. Non-conductive I-connectors may be used to electrically separate two runs without any visible separation to the design. Other available connectors include an X-connector,
L-connector, T-connector, Ceiling-to-Wall connector, and a Variable Angle connector. These may be used to achieve a variety of distinctive designs.
QUICK CONNECT
Quick Connect Fixtures (J, K and I) and Pendants (G and H) allow for an extensive selection of glass and metal elements to complement the MONORAIL design. All Quick Connect elements require an LM2-QADP (F) adapter.
TIPS
Rails are supplied with end caps (E). System may be dimmed with a dimmer appropriate for the transformer type
(IE: electronic or magnetic). Custom length suspensions are possible by the use of cables or suspension rods. Sloped ceilings use cable power feed wires. Shaping rail before mounting on the ceiling allows you to determine the best location for standoffs. Hand bending of small curves is acceptable, while larger and more intricate curves should be done with the bending matching (HM-BM).

Chrome rail should be wiped down after installation (and before powering up) to remove excessive finger prints
Remember, the low voltage MONORAIL has a capacity of 300 watts on a 12 volt system or 600 watts on a 24 volt
system.

The “dead” I-Connector (D) is a useful part. Using this part allows you to connect long runs together of more than 300
watts (12 volt systems) or 600 watts (24 volt systems). Remember that each Quick Connect element requires a matching LM2-QADP (F) MONORAIL Quick Connect adapter.
